Make Every Day Count

Today I want to cover a serious topic ahead of Christmas. If you saw my tweet last night you may understand why I am writing this.
Recently in the news, there has been so many tragedies where people's loved ones have been taken away from them right before Christmas (which I'm sure most of you have heard about). I can't begin to imagine how it must feel to have someone you love taken away from you at this time of year especially when it is about being with family and loving the people around you.

Yesterday in particular it hit me. Life is unpredictable. You never know what could happen tomorrow and yet we are still selfish and unappreciative of everything. It's not right! I hear people say how much they don't like their parents or a certain family member but why? Why don't you like them? They're still you're family no matter what. They rely on you to pick them up and help them learn through their journey through life. Some people don't have their loved ones to share precious moments with.

I know two people who will both be spending this Christmas without their mothers for the first time. I can't imagine what that must feel like for them. It's not fair. Life's not fair but we must appreciate what we have because tomorrow is another day and everything we know could be ripped from us. I would never wish something like that on anyone because I think this is one of the worst things that could ever happen to us.

I'm sorry to put such a downer on you just a couple of days before Christmas but I feel like this needed to be said. If you don't take anything else from this, please just remember to be grateful and show love to you're family this Christmas and just remember there are people who are struggling from loosing a lost one right this moment and keep those people in you're mind one day (touch wood that it isn't) it could be you.

If you are ever needing to talk to someone about a difficult time then please don't hesitate to tweet me asking for help, message me on Instagram or even leave a comment in this post. I'm always here for you all.

Thank you for reading.

Halloween - Last Minute Costumes

Hi Everyone!

As we all know, one of my favourite times of year is on Friday! I love the Halloween festivities but sometimes planning the perfect costume can be so difficult that you end up with nothing to wear days before (me right now). So for all us last minute people I decided to make a post about last minute costumes. I have linked the items that I have found to their website if there was a specific one.

Devil

A devil costume is easy enough! All you need is a truck load of red!
- Bright Red Lips and Red Eye shadow and Thick Black Liner
- Red Nails

Cat

Cat costumes are more about the accessories and makeup than the actual outfit.

I would recommend:
- Long fake nails
- Black cat eye makeup and red lips (Credit to Niomi Smart for Pictures)
- Whiskers! (Credit to Niomi Smart)

Witch

A witch is one of the easiest costumes as you can put on basically any dark colour you own and focus on the makeup again

I would use:
- Spider Hair Pins or a Witch Hat
- Black Lips
- Dots of Eyeliner to make Warts etc.
- Broom Stick
- Back Combed Hair

Pumpkin

This one could be slightly trickier but will be worth it!
- Orange Nails
- Makeup (optional)

Ghost

One of the most blank but effect costumes.
- Ghost Tights (optional)
- Black eye makeup and white base and lips
- White hair bow
- White ribbon tied to arms and wrapped into plaits

I hope you enjoyed these last minute ideas and that they've helped some of you with your costumes. This post was very different to my usual posts. Let me know if you like outfit ideas and would like seasonal ones!
What are you going as this Halloween?

My Night Skin Care Routine!

Hi Everyone!

As we know, Winter is weeks away! Even though it is one of the most wonderful and beautiful times of year it can do a lot of damage to our skin. I have a set skin care routine for all year round too keep my skin looking fresh and hydrated!

After snuggling into my pajamas and tying my hair back I wash my face with 'Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash'. My skin is very acne prone due to it being slightly oily. However, this face wash works as it is oil free and I find it unblocks pores well. I use this to remove the makeup and make my skin feel fresh and treated.

Secondly, I use 'Witch Hazel'. This is a herbal liquid that is used to clear up break outs and acts as a second cleanse for the skin to make sure it is 100% makeup or dirt free! I buy this from my local chemist/drugstore or you can buy it from retailers such as Boots. Apply it with a cotton wool pad, onto red or acne prone areas and leave to dry into your skin. Don't be afraid to be generous!

Finally, I use a 'Olay Essentials Complete Care Night Cream' Moisturizer. This product is supposed to care for normal, dry and oily skin. I love using this moisturizer as your skin can feel slightly tight after using the 'Witch Hazel' and it makes my skin relax and feel soft and hydrated.

As you can see all of these products are cheap and all high street brands.
What's your favourite product of your night skin care routine?

Thank you all for reading!

You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile

Hi Everyone!

October is finally upon us! One less month until Christmas *screams excitedly*. However, today I didn't want to talk about festivities, I want to address a subject that effects us all, life. I have wanted to talk about this for a while now but I've never really had the right words to say but I saw Zoella and Sprinkle Of Glitter's video about sadness (link here)  and it's given me the inspiration I needed to write this post.

Life can be extremely difficult, especially if you are facing a new challenge e.g. a new school, a new family member, difficulty in friendships or at home. Sometimes, these challenges can get us down and feel like there is no way out. However, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what you think and how bad the situation may seem.

Personally I go through times where I don't feel myself but I don't seem to know the source of my problem. Most of the time, situations of sadness can be solved easily, but sometimes it can lead to things such as depression or anxiety, therefore if the feeling of sadness continues over a long period of time or repeats regularly you must talk to a parent, carer, teacher, therapist etc. and I can't stress this enough. It is better to talk things out that keep it all to yourself. Even if you're not ready to talk to anyone about your problems face to face you could make a list of what is making you unhappy and what makes you happy.

If you are going through a difficult time right now, I promise you it gets better and that there is away out of this unhappy part of your life. Don't forget that if you ever need help or anyone to talk to feel free to contact me somehow (link to contact page here), I'm always here.
Stay strong.
I love you
